Sudhakar Madakasira, MD, DFAPA

Sudhakar Madakasira, M.D., DLFAPA, is a psychiatrist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. He has over thirty years of clinical experience, half of it in academic centers. He has won numerous awards and is listed in The Best Doctors of America. He is in full time private practice, and is a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and teaches at University of Mississippi Medical Center. He founded Psycamore Psychiatric Programs and specializes in evaluation, research, and treatment of anxiety and mood disorders and in partial hospital programs.

Mark Ladner, MD

Medical Director, Evening Program

Mark E. Ladner, M. D., FAPA, has Board Certification in Psychiatry and is a Fellow in the American Psychiatric Association. He has 20 years of clinical experience and is currently an Associate Professor at UMMC. He has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings including the Jackson VA Medical Center, St. Dominic Hospital, Hinds Behavioral Health Center and Private Practice. He earned his M.D. at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in 1992. He completed a psychiatric residency at UMMC in 1996, serving as chief resident of psychiatry from 1995-96. He is from Jackson, Mississippi and has been part of the Psycamore Staff since 2005. He has served as President of the Mississippi Psychiatric Association and Acting Chief of Psychiatry at the VA Medical Center. He has experience in treating a wide range of psychiatric disorders including mood and anxiety disorders, PTSD, and psychotic disorders.

Kirtida Desai, MD

Medical Director, Adolescent Program

Kirtida Desai, MD earned her medical education from Government Medical School, Surat, India. She received her psychiatry residency training at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS from 1993-1997. She later joined the faculty at UMC and was part of the Psychiatry Consultation Liaison, covering the Emergency Room. She earned her board certification in Adult Psychiatry from ABPN in 1999 and was recertified again in 2009. She is a Fellow of APA and an affiliate faculty with the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at UMMC. Her experience also includes working at Mississippi State Hospital with adult and geriatric females with chronic mental illnesses and providing psychiatric consultations at the Jaquith Nursing Home, the largest nursing home in the State of Mississippi. Dr. Desai has consulted with Psycamore since May of 2006.


Dr. John Wilkaitis

John Wilkaitis, MD

Medical Director, Child Program

Dr. Wilkaitis is a graduate of the University of Mississippi Medical School where he completed a general psychiatry residency. Dr. Wilkaitis completed a two year fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital where he was involved with some of the leading research in the areas of pediatric bipolar disorder. Dr. Wilkaitis is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in adult, child and adolescent psychiatry, psychosomatic medicine, and addiction medicine. Dr. Wilkaitis is a distinguished fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. He has been appointed to the executive council of the Mississippi Psychiatric Association. Dr. Wilkaitis is president of the Mississippi Council of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and president-elect of the American Association of Psychiatric Administrators. Dr. Wilkaitis is an adjunctive assistant professor at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in the department of psychiatry. Dr. Wilkaitis maintains a private practice in Flowood, MS.

Dr. Kimberly Madakasira

Kimberly Lichte-Madakasira

CFO, Executive Director

Kimberly Lichte-Madakasira is a licensed professional counselor, licensed marriage and family therapist, and a registered 500 level yoga instructor. Dr. Lichte-Madakasira has been a licensed professional counselor since 2000 with experience treating adults utilizing various techniques and therapies in both group and individual settings. She provides yoga therapy, which has been shown to be beneficial for depression and anxiety and has completed her training in therapeutic yoga. She received her PhD in Health Psychology from Walden University in 2011 where she studied somatic issues. Her areas of interest include mood disorders, chronic pain and somatic issues. Through a holistic approach, she believes in utilizing the connection between mind, body, and breath in order to effectively access the body’s healing power. She utilizes specific and customized mindfulness practices with her clients in order to help elevate their moods. Dr. Lichte-Madakasira is the Executive Director and a founding member of Psycamore, LLC with extensive experience in administration and business.

Dorothea Garrett, MS, LPC

Director, Clinical Operations

Dorothea Garrett is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Her specialties are in the areas of anger management, self-esteem and grief and loss. She received a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Chicago State University in Business Administration, a Master’s of Arts Degree from Northeastern Illinois University in Vocation Counseling and a Master’s of Arts Degree from Pepperdine University in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. She has extensive knowledge in Personnel Administration, Vocation Rehabilitation, Vocational Counseling, Marriage and Family Counseling and Child/Adolescent Therapy. Before coming to Psycamore she performed the duties of Program Director from another partial hospitalization program where she gained additional experience performing individual, group and family therapy.

Chris Cothern, MS, LPC, LMFT

Director, Child and Adolescent, Director of Training

Chris serves as Director of Child and Adolescent Programming and Training Director for Psycamore. He earned his Masters of Science in marriage and family therapy from Mississippi College in 1994. He became a Licensed Professional Counselor in 1996 and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in 1998. Chris received his Bachelors of Science in psychology from Mississippi College in 1992. He began working at Psycamore – Flowood in 2008 as Manager of Adolescent Program. Prior to beginning at Psycamore, Chris worked as a Regional Director for a national health management corporation. Additionally his work history includes counseling through private practice working with individuals, couples and families. Chris has 25 years of experience in mental health services. He uses a variety of counseling modalities in his approach to assist clients in developing coping skills, achieving goals and strengthening relationships.


Todd Edwards, MSCP, DPC, LPC

Southern Regional Manager

Todd Edwards received the Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Mississippi College, in 2008, with an emphasis in Marital and Family Counseling. He became a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2009, and in 2016 he earned the Doctorate of Professional Counseling degree from Mississippi College, with an emphasis in Grief Recovery. He has over fourteen years of experience as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, and over six years of experience as a Therapist in Intensive Outpatient Programs. He began working at Psycamore in 2017 as Southern Regional Manager, and a Clinical Therapist.

Angela Essary, MS, LPC

Adult Program Manager, Coordinator of Advertising
and Continuing Education

Angela Essary earned her Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2003. She became a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2005 and a Board Qualified Supervisor in 2011. After 10 years as a therapist and supervisor in community mental health, she came to work at Psycamore in 2014. As Child Program Manager, Angela provides individual and group therapy for both children and adults. She is a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist interested in brain science, wellness, mindfulness, spirituality, and gender dysphoria.


Emily Lehigh, MSW, LCSW

Child Program Manager

Emily Lehigh is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in 2005 in and her Master of Social Work degree from Grambling State University in 2006. Before coming to Psycamore in 2016, Emily worked with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings including Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health, School Based Mental Health, Intensive Outpatient treatment, and Hospice. As Child Program Manager at Psycamore, Emily provides individual and group therapy for children and adults. Her professional interests include cognitive behavioral therapy, positive psychology, and parent-child relationships.


Kimberley Paul, MSW, LCSW

UR Manager, Clinical Therapist

Kimberley Paul earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern Mississippi and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Jackson State University. She became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2007 and specialized in working with women with eating disorders in Charlotte, NC. After several years as a therapist, she transitioned into management in a managed care setting. She joined Psycamore in 2016. As UR Manager/Clinical Therapist, Kimberley provides individual and group therapy for children, adolescents and adults. She also works with managed care companies to ensure that the patients receive the services that are clinically necessary for recovery. Her current professional interests include cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, eating disorders, work related stress, generalized anxiety and depression.

Aaron Bond, MS, LPC

Evening Program Supervisor, IT Specialist

Aaron Bond earned his Master of Science in Marriage and Family Counseling from Mississippi College in 2011. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. He also obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English from Mississippi College. Aaron began work at Psycamore in 2011 as a clinical therapist. He has since been promoted to Adult Evening Program Coordinator and the Information Technology Specialist. Aaron’s professional interests include cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and incorporating technology into the mental health field.

Lauren Bennett, MS, LPC, NCC is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Nationally Certified Counselor. She earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Mississippi State University and earned her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Mississippi College. She has been employed by Psycamore since 2004, serving clients from various clinical positions at the Flowood and Biloxi locations, and is now the Child Program Clinical Specialist in Flowood. Lauren conducts assessments, individual, family, and group therapy for adults, adolescents, and children. She is also involved in the UR Department of Psycamore. Her current professional interests include cognitive behavioral therapy, perfectionism, guilt and shame, relationships, and self-esteem.

Ronnie T. Harris earned his Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Mississippi College. He a Licensed Professional Counselor certified in Reality Therapy. He contracted with the Federal Bureau of Prisons for 11 years and for 12 years at Mississippi State Hospital. In 2015, Psycamore welcomed him as the Regional Manager over the Southaven, Biloxi, and Little Rock offices. He has a professional interest in treating stress and anxiety.

Debbie Breaux, PhD

Clinical Therapist

Debbie Breaux, Ph.D., LPC, has been a licensed professional counselor and nationally certified counselor since 2003 when she began at Psycamore, counseling children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. Dr. Breaux taught and supervised counseling students in the art and science of clinical counseling at Mississippi State University for four years. She is professionally active in the American Counseling Associations, having conducted numerous conference presentations and family workshops in research and counseling. Her areas of interest are interpersonal reciprocity within the counseling process, clinical supervision, and play therapy and creative art, symbolic play relative to learning theories, solution focus brief therapy for adolescents, and spirituality. Dr. Breaux has served on the Editorial Review Board for the national journal, Counseling and Values, and has published several manuscripts in her areas of interest. Dr. Breaux has also studied in Louisiana where she received a Masters with honors in psychological counseling. She is the recipient of numerous awards in research and academics.


Susan Anand

Susan Anand

Art Therapist

Susan Ainlay Anand is a registered and board certified art therapist, and licensed as a professional art therapist and marriage and family therapist. A graduate of New York University, she has worked with children and adults in inpatient and outpatient settings since 1982. Susan is an instructor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Mississippi Medical Center where she provides art therapy services and teaches residents and medical students about group art therapy. She has published numerous journal articles and book chapters, and has been instrumental in developing licensure and reimbursement through Medicaid for licensed professional art therapists in Mississippi. Susan has served as chair or member of committees for the American Art Therapy Association and completed six years as a board member on the Art Therapy Credentials Board. Susan is a frequent presenter at both national and international conferences and provides workshops and training on art therapy and use of the creative process to strengthen resilience.

Teresa Elias-Hooper, PsyD, ABPS

Teresa Elias-Hooper, PsyD, ABPS, is a licensed clinical psychologist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychological Specialties in Clinical Psychology. She has been in private and inpatient hospital settings since 2004. Her central focus is with adolescents, adults, couples and families with depression, anxiety, and adult childhood abuse issues. She also administers psychodiagnostic evaluations and ADHD evaluations in adults, adolescents and children.

Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Angela Herzog obtained the Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Mississippi in 1985. Since 1986, she has been in private practice in Jackson, Mississippi, where she provides a range of psychological services to children, adolescents, and adults including psychological evaluations, individual psychotherapy, family and marital therapy. Her practice focus is to assess clinical and personality diagnostic issues which account for maladaptive functioning, followed by a blend of cognitive behavioral and object relations treatment strategies. Dr. Herzog has been on the consulting staff of Psycamore since 2002, and provides services in the child, adolescent, and adult programs. Among Dr. Herzog’s various professional leadership positions, she has served as Chairman of the Mississippi Board of Psychology and as President of the Mississippi Psychological Association. She currently is Mississippi’s Representative to the governing board of the American Psychological Association.


Bobby Huff

Bobby Huff, MS, LPC

Clinical Therapist

Bobby has enjoyed providing counseling and therapeutic services to individuals, couples and families since 1991. His interest in addiction studies began in graduate school and led him over the years to develop and manage programs for adolescents and adults struggling with problematic compulsive behaviors. He has extensive training in the treatment of alcoholism and other drug dependency, sex addition (Level I and II), compulsive gambling (Domain I and II), as well as relapse prevention, trauma (EMDR Part I and II), and crisis intervention. He has a particular passion for helping men of all ages develop skills and gain insight toward a more masculine wholeness to be better fathers, husbands and leaders. Bobby is a licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). He received his Bachelor’s degree from Belhaven College (now Belhaven University) and Master’s degree from Regent University in Virginia. He is a member of (NAADAC) National Association of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Counselors and (SASH) Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health.

Anne Piazza

Anne Denny Piazza earned her Master of Education in Counseling Psychology in 1996 from Mississippi College. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Licensed Guidance Counselor, a Licensed Vocational Counselor, and a Licensed Psychology Educator. She is also a National Certified Counselor, a National Certified School Counselor, and is certified in Reality Therapy. Anne Piazza is a retired School Counselor from the Jackson Public Schools. Currently, she is a part-time counselor at St. Joseph Catholic School and has been in private practice at Highland Village in Jackson, Mississippi since 2003. She began consulting with Psycamore in 2005. Anne Piazza utilizes her teaching, counseling and psychology background, to encourage cognitive restructuring principles and her areas of focus are as follows: stress management, family issues, self-esteem, dysfunctional beliefs, narcissism, relationships, health and wellness, bipolar disorder, assertiveness training, anxiety, depression, addiction issues and helping individuals who are feeling lost and stuck, achieve their personal growth and potential.

Barbara Rogers

Therapeutic Yoga Instructor

Barbara has been practicing yoga since 2005. She is a registered yoga teacher with the yoga alliance and has over 300 training hours with the YogaFit Mind and Body fitness training program. While spending several years exploring the many different yoga traditions, she was also discovering how yoga played a role in healing the mind. She has studied with many renowned teachers and has taken many workshops which lead her to her specialties; yoga for trauma, restorative, fascia release, and thai yoga massage. Her goal in yoga is to always take clients on a safe and mindful practice and to help them discover the power and self-control that already exist within. Barbara’s past work experience has been in nursing. She holds several fitness certifications including mat Pilates, Pilates reformer, Spin, dance, and water. She is married with two grown children, one grandson, and two dogs.

Theresa, a Psychologist and Licensed Professional Counselor, has several years of experience treating various emotional and behavioral issues in children, adolescent, and adult populations. Theresa has worked in a variety of treatment settings that include community mental health, inpatient/outpatient psychiatric care, community counseling center, a residential alcohol and drug treatment facility, as well as a University psychological clinic and counseling center. Theresa has worked with children, adolescents, and adults presenting with concerns related to mood disorders, anxiety disorders, disruptive behavior disorders (e.g. Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Conduct Disorder), and substance abuse. Theresa is a proud alumna of Jackson State University and actively participates in the local and national alumni chapters as well as in various community service projects that are dedicated to promoting health and decreasing stigma associated with mental health service utilization. Robert Rahaim

Robert Rahaim MS, LPC-S

Northern Regional Manager

Robert Rahaim has been a Licensed Professional Counselor in Mississippi since 1994. He earned a Master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS in 1991. During his time as a graduate student and for the 12 years following his graduation, Robert worked for a nationally recognized psychiatric/behavioral health system in various roles, including, Program Director, Outreach and Counseling Center Director and Clinical Director of Managed Care. Robert served on the adjunct faculty at Belhaven College in Jackson, MS (now Belhaven University) and was a lecturer and group facilitator in the Pastoral Counseling and Marriage & Family Therapy programs at Reformed Theological Seminary. Across his career Robert also worked in private practice and has had the privilege of helping individuals, couples and families move through challenging events in their lives. Recently Robert earned his credentials as a Board Qualified Supervisor and enjoys helping developing therapists hone their skills toward licensure. Robert has been with Psycamore since December 2012.


Jennifer Harris MS, LPC-S

Adolescent Program Manager

Jennifer Harris has been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2008. She completed her undergraduate degree in Music Therapy from William Carey College in 2001, including a music therapy internship at River Oaks Psychiatric Hospital in New Orleans, LA, and was awarded the Master of Science in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Mental & Behavioral Health from Mississippi College in 2005.
In addition to clinical practice, she has held positions in administration and education, including program manager of intensive community-based services, regional manager of an intensive outpatient/partial hospitalization programs (IOP/PHP), chair of a trauma-informed system of care task force, outpatient clinical director of an IOP/PHP for eating disorders and trauma, and adjunct faculty for Holmes Community College.
Jennifer’s professional interests include counselor education and supervision, the treatment of anxiety disorders, attachment injuries, trauma and trauma-based related behaviors, and disordered eating. She became a Board-Qualified Supervisor for Licensed Professional Counselors in Mississippi in 2015 and she is currently pursuing advanced trauma certification through the Ross Institute and the Certified Eating Disorders Specialist credential (CEDS) through the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (IAEDP). She is member of the Mississippi Counseling Association, the International Association for Eating Disorders, and the National Eating Disorders Association.


Yoko Montgomery

Yoko Montgomery is a native of Mississippi. She began her post-secondary education at Mississippi Valley State University earning a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Criminal Justice. After entering the workforce, working with at risk youth in group homes in the Memphis TN area, Yoko pursued and earned her Master’s of Education in Counselor Education from The University of Mississippi in 2008. Yoko has worked with emotionally and behaviorally challenged children, adolescents, and their families for over 5 years, utilizing many different counseling modalities. Yoko earned her LPC in Mississippi in 2012 and became a Board Qualified Supervisor in 2015. She enjoys helping patients reach their goals in life through the process of building trust and relationships.


Heather Peacock

Heather Peacock, MEd, LPC

Clinical Therapist

Heather Peacock obtained her Masters of Education degree in Community and School Counseling from Delta State University. She went on to become a Licensed Professional Counselor working in the community mental health system. Heather began at Psycamore in 2016 as a Clinical Therapist. She has particular professional interest in trauma focused therapy, research, experiential therapies, and cognitive behavioral therapy.
