Dorothea Garrett is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Her specialties are in the areas of anger management, self-esteem and grief, and loss. She received a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Chicago State University in Business Administration, a Master’s of Arts Degree from Northeastern Illinois University in Vocational Counseling, and a Master’s of Arts Degree from Pepperdine University in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. She has extensive knowledge in Personnel Administration, Vocational Rehabilitation, Vocational Counseling, Marriage and Family Counseling, and Child/Adolescent Therapy. Before coming to Psycamore she performed the duties of Program Director from another partial hospitalization program where she gained additional experience performing individual, group, and family therapy.
