I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health at Mississippi State University. It was during my internship at Diamond Grove Mental Health Clinic, that I developed my love of counseling and my desire to invest in the future by uplifting our youth. While working with the adolescent acute unit, I discovered the passion behind assisting others. I enjoy watching others grow on their life journey through therapeutic planning and the development of necessary life skills. Seeing clients become empowered as they discover their strengths and elevate within their understanding of themselves, is the greatest honor I have had the privilege to witness.
Following my time there I have expanded my work within the greater Hinds and Rankin area of Mississippi. These populations include adults, adolescents, children and families. My theoretical orientation includes an eclectic approach of Solution Focused therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Therapy and Existential therapy, which are tailored to the unique goals for the client.
As I strive to continue positively challenging my professional growth, I look forward to the opportunity to work with you as you challenge and grow as well!
I am Jackson native who enjoys singing, reading, traveling and watching new movies and plays as they hit theaters. When not working you can find me spending time with family, friends or my Gumbo boy (tabby cat). I am currently interested in writing and learning more languages!
