Dewey Watkins

LPC

Biloxi Program Manager

I earned my Bachelors of Science in Psychology in 2001 and my Masters of Science in Individual Counseling in 2003 from William Carey College in Hattiesburg, MS. In addition to being a Licensed Professional Counselor, I am recognized by the licensure board as a provider of distance professional services.

Before coming to Psycamore, I spent several years working as a counselor at an inpatient psychiatric facility. In my nearly 20 years of experience in the mental health field I have worked with senior adults, adults, adolescents, and children. My primary aim as a therapist is to provide quality services for those struggling with mental, emotional and behavioral problems like relationship conflict, career concerns, mood and anxiety disorders, personality disorder, and substance use issues. My main goal is to educate, equip, support, encourage, and help patients in a collaborative process that facilitates healing and success for them. At Psycamore I conduct orientations to the treatment process and provides individual and group therapy services as well. My professional interests include Reality Therapy, mood and anxiety disorders, personality disorders, and substance use issues.

I love outdoor activities that involve hunting, fishing, riding 4-wheelers, jet skiing, boating, and swimming. I also enjoy cookouts, shrimp/crab boils, and fish fries with family and friends
