Destiny Hughes

Clinical Program Specialist

Destiny started working as a Front Office Coordinator for four years then became a Clinical Program Specialist for the last two years. She likes to think of herself as the universal employee. She gets to do fun activities with patients before program starts, she handles paperwork when patients enter and exit our programs, as well as work hand in hand with the physicians as they provide top tier patient care in terms of medication monitoring. What she likes about her position is that she gets to see patients literally from start to finish. She gets fulfillment from her job by seeing patients start our program reluctantly and finish our program not wanting to ever leave Psycamore. She gets a sense of pride hearing the success stories from our patients. It is because of them that she has a desire to dive deeper into the world that is mental health.

Destiny has had a love for dance, gymnastics, and cheerleading for her entire life. She predominantly competed/performed in these three activities since I was four years old. More recently, she has deepened her like for poetry. She is also a music lover, so taking leisurely drives to the reservoir while listening to my music with the volume loud, and the windows rolled down is an ideal self care day.
